Amos Speranza

Amos Speranza (1992) obtained his BA in history, geography and anthropology at the University of Neuchâtel. He then focused on the history of migrations and globalization in modern and contemporary era. Working at the universities of Neuchâtel and Fribourg, he graduated in comparative history in 2018 with the thesis “Sa ved che t'è stüdiat in dent: le migrazioni degli studenti ticinesi”.

He’s now contributing to the project as PhD student at the University of Lucerne. Following the pattern of legal changes, he’s studying the tensions between traditional society and French-inspired modernity in Napoleonic and post-Napoleonic Ticino, as well as their ties with Lombardy.

Amos Speranza (1992) ha ottenuto un Bachelor in storia, geografia ed etnologia all’Università di Neuchâtel. Si è poi concentrato sulla storia delle migrazioni e della globalizzazione in epoca moderna e contemporanea. Lavorando tra le università di Neuchâtel e Friburgo, si è laureato in storia comparata nel 2018 con il mémoire “Sa ved che t'è stüdiat in dent: le migrazioni degli studenti ticinesi”.

Sta attualmente contribuendo al progetto come dottorando affiliato all’Università di Lucerna. Seguendo l’evoluzione del quadro costituzionale e giuridico, sta studiando le tensioni tra società tradizionale e modernità di ispirazione francese nel Ticino napoleonico e postnapoleonico, così come i relativi legami con la vicina Italia.
